Founded in 2013 after creating a bracelet shaped like Cape Cod and witnessing the demand for sustainable and meaningful products, Cape Clasp is a company that partners with marine life organizations to develop unique products that help raise money for research.

Our oceans are facing extreme threats every day. Human actions, such as pollution, are causing the globe to heat up and sea levels to rise, and marine life is bearing the brunt of these fatal effects. Plastic waste kills one hundred million marine animals each year.

Cape Clasp aims to fight this through funding research into oceans and marine life so better resilience and adaptive measures can be found and implemented.

In keeping with their environment-friendly mission, their popular Tikos are 100% recyclable ocean plastic bracelets. The material used to make them is removed from the ocean and cleaned off coastlines. They are then shaved down into recycled plastic pellets, which are then melted down, molded into their products such as bracelets and sunglasses, and worn as a daily reminder to reduce your plastic use and protect the ocean. If that doesn’t show how we can turn waste into treasure, we don’t know what can!

With such great sustainable products on offer, it was an easy decision to include Cape Clasp in our go-to shopping guide. Treat yourself or an ocean-loving friend with a good-quality piece of jewelry or accessory that is free from guilt and non-recyclable properties. Their products are a gentle but everlasting reminder to skip the straw, bring the bag, clean the cup, and lead a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle every day!
